Tolbase GUI is sopported on Tcl/Tk runtime. We have chosen the ActiveState distribution because it is the best distribution of Tcl/Tk available containing the must complete package repository named teacup. There are just a few packages needed by Tolbase not included in teacup:
 * Tclodbc (included a source code for linux and binary in windows)
 * Tclcurl: should be compiled from sources
 * Blt: in linux we should use de CentOS binary distribution and in windows an specific binary distribution

On Windows the compilation script is responsible of downloading the ActiveState distribution. But 

 * Tcl/Tk 8.4: this is the stable relase
 * Tcl/Tk 8.5: this release is not fully tested
